Description

Come to the historic downtown of Pittsboro to enjoy live music and community. Bring chairs, blankets, your friends, and some snacks or a dinner to go from a nearby local eatery to enjoy live music in downtown Pittsboro presented by Main Street Pittsboro. Perch Coworking is sponsoring the Thursday, October 21st event presenting music from Sarah Perry and the Confluence from 6 to 8pm in the Page Vernon Park at 110 Hillsboro Street. Admission is free and open to the public. Sarah Perry and the Confluence is an acoustic band from Chatham County, North Carolina. The core trio boasts two strong singer/songwriters - Sarah and guitarist Jimmy Magoo - plus the dynamic upright bass of Leslie Wilt-Cottrell, and regularly play host to a rotating cast of musical guests. Intricate melodies and haunting harmonies are front and center in both original compositions and popular favorites, making for an evening of song you won’t soon forget. “Our intent is to attract folks to downtown to enjoy some time outdoors in one of downtown Pittsboro’s beautiful amenities,” said Main Street Pittsboro’s board chair Maria Parker-Lewis. “We encourage people to have dinner at a local eatery, get it to go and enjoy it during the music, or have dinner and a cocktail afterwards from any of our downtown establishments. Several businesses with delicious food and snacks are within walking distance of the park.” The Page Vernon Park is an environmentally friendly, 3,000 square foot urban pocket park that opened in the fall of 2015.
