This training will prepare teacher candidates to successfully pass the RICA (Reading Instruction Competence Assessment).
Topics will include:
Test taking strategies The five domains of a reading teacher's knowledge and skillsPractice test review. This training will be led by Jamie Buckner-Bridges, Director of Teach Lake County. Ms. Buckner-Bridges has over ten years experience teaching reading to PreK-7th grade students and currently leads the Teach Lake County intern credentialing program.
This session is open to anyone who is planning on taking the RICA and has already completed the beginning reading course in their preparation program.
Parking and entrance to the Kesey Room are at the back of the building. Lunch will be on your own.
