Free assistance filing the FAFSA from Financial Aid Professionals. In-person and 1-on-1. USC Lancaster, TRiO and Financial Aid offices are offering to help YOU file your Free Application for Financial Aid. Sign up for 1 of three sessions. Pre-registration is required and all attendees must wear masks (it USC policy). To complete the FASFA you will need the following items for yourself and your spouse or parents: Social Security numbers, Full Name, Dates of Birth A valid e-mail address that you can access from the computer or your smart phone 2020 year income information: o 2020 federal income tax returns, Tax Schedules, and W-2s o 2020 1099-R, 1099-MISC, 1099-G, 1098-T forms and other records of money received (if any) o 2020 Child support paid out (for children not in the household) o Other 2020 income not reported in one of these documents above (except Social Security income) 2020 year untaxed income records: o Child support received o Housing and living allowances for members of the military or clergy (except on-base allowances) o Veterans non-education benefits o Worker’s compensation o Disability benefits (except Social Security disability) o Total money received or paid on your behalf in 2020 (unless paid by a parent who is on the FAFSA) Current total net value of cash, savings, checking accounts, investments (stocks, bonds, CDs, etc…), land and properties (other than your home), large private businesses (those with 100 or more employees), and business farms… UNLESS your total income in 2020 was less than $50,000, AND… o in 2020 or 2021; someone in your household received SSI, SNAP, Free/Reduce Lunches, TANF or WIC; or o you or your parent (If dependent) filed a 1040 but did NOT file a Schedule 1; or o you or your parent (If dependent) were a dislocated worker.
