I'm a working pianist in Austin. I work mostly as a ballet accompanist and I play jazz and accompany singers as well. I'm looking for new students!! I have a bachelor's degree in music from Univeristy at Fredonia (in NYS) where I studied classical piano, jazz, music theory and teaching techniques. My main hustle in Austin (formerly Chicago) is playing piano for ballet classes which involves improvisation, memorization, discipline, adaptability and conversing musically. I would be very interested in coaching anybody that wants to develop these techniques! I have a student that is a DJ. Over the course of a few months we explored harmony and now creating chords, progressions and beats is a breeze. We trade musical inspirations. Looking for $45 for an hour but very open to negotiations on price or even to barter! In person available in Austin and open to zoom meetings elsewhere. Send an email, thanks!
