The Las Vegas Concours d’Elegance is looking for the very best Volunteers for its event coming up this October. Hello! The Las Vegas Concours d’Elegance is looking for the very best Volunteers for its event coming up this October. WHEN The main events occur over two days, Friday, October 22 through Saturday, October 23. All volunteers will be scheduled and assigned in one Crew for both days. Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, then 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM WHERE The Las Vegas Ballpark, Summerlin - the most prestigious, beautiful ballpark in all of Minor League Baseball! WHAT Volunteers are needed in 4 major crews. The highest priority for us is someone who will work an entire day shift. We ask that for continuity of service. Car Class Hosts (CCH Crew): The best volunteers for this group are those that are familiar with Concours events, have some knowledge of cars and have great social skills. This puts you on the front line, dealing with our most important clients, the Collectors themselves. That being said, a great personality trumps all! If you’ve got that, sign up! There will be 20 Car Classes (categories of cars) that will be judged and 40 Car Class Hosts, which is two for each class. Car Class Hosts Responsibilities: * work in pairs and be assigned to a single car class which can consist of 3 to 8 cars. * help guide cars in and out of their spots as needed * ensure safe passage to/from the awards stage (near home plate) work with the car owners/handlers to ensure all their questions are answered and their needs are met. CCH Crew will be asked to work the entire time on both days. (excluding Friday 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM) Load Crew (LOAD Crew) The LOAD Crew responsibilities are: * work with our Vendors and Sponsors and LVCE team to load in and load out all equipment, mostly lightweight boxes and some light tables and folding chairs. * mark off vendor areas * help set up/tear down tables and chairs * set up and tear down displays * ensure vendors set up correctly and within their allotted spaces * guide movement along the concourse (many displays are automobiles). This is the only crew that is guaranteed to have some lifting involved but nothing will be heavier than a box of books or a bin of merchandise. Traffic Control (TC Crew): The TC Crew will: * measure and mark off the field (flags, chalk and tape) for parking spots * help set up the awards stage and Trophy Table * work with the Car Class Hosts for movement of cars on the field * be responsible for the movement and sequencing of exhibition cars to/from the parking lot. * guide load in/out vehicles to/from the north entrance Hospitality (VIP Crew): The VIP Crew will: * be responsible for checking in Volunteers, VIP guests, Vendors, and Sponsors. * act as a source of information to all attendees * be the courteous host to all guests For more information about the event, please go to LasVegasConcours.com.
