Join us for good books and great conversations! On Tuesday, October 19th, join us for a meeting of the WCHS Book Club! This month's featured book will be Mysteries and Lore of Western Maryland: Snallygasters, Dogmen, and Other Mountain Tales by Susan Fair. Participants will be responsible for securing and reading the book ahead of the meeting. Founded in 1911, the Washington County Historical Society has played a significant role in preserving historic sites, artifacts and archival records for Washington County, Maryland. Located in downtown Hagerstown, the Miller House serves as the home of the historical society, the kinship Family Heritage Research Center, and the Miller House Museum. The museum gives visitors a taste of life in the 1850s and exhibits showcase important events in Washington County history.
