IN-PERSON Trial Skills Programs are BACK! The Michigan Indigent Defense Commission's Trial Skills Simulation Program is bringing back in-person programs! This free, grant-funded program will offer hands-on experience to the participants in all five trial skills: voir dire, opening statements, cross examination, direct examination, and closing arguments.  This program is being offered at the Comfort Inn located in Lansing, Michigan on November 5, 6, and 7, 2021, from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Participants will earn 21 hours of CLE credit for participation in the full program, and the program will satisfy the skills training requirements of Standard 1. You must attend the entire program in order to receive CLE credits. To be eligible for participation in the program, you must be a licensed attorney representing indigent defendants within the State of Michigan. You must plan to participate in the entire three-day program.  This program is limited to 18 participants. A wait-list will be compiled once the program is full.  A group rate of $65 per night is available at the Comfort Inn if you would like to stay at the hotel.
