MILTON - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be implementing overnight lane closures on I-93 northbound and southbound in Milton. The closures will begin on Tuesday, October 12, are scheduled to continue for approximately two months. The closures will take place nightly, from Sunday through Thursday, during overnight hours from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning and are needed to support the East Milton Square bridge deck repairs.
In August 2020, MassDOT broke ground on long-awaited improvements to the East Milton Square Bridge Deck and its surrounding roads and infrastructure, optimizing mobility for all throughout East Milton Square and creating a more inviting environment for visitors to Manning Park.
