PUYALLUP, WA — A collision involving a Puyallup police vehicle blocked roads for several hours late Tuesday evening, but no injuries have been reported.
Just after 6 p.m. Tuesday, the Puyallup Police Department reported that one of its officer's patrol vehicles had been struck at the intersection of 37th Avenue SE and S Meridian St.
According to police, the officer had been responding to a separate accident nearby, when a driver T-boned their patrol vehicle in the intersection. The officer's sirens and lights had been activated at the time, the department said.
The intersection was closed for several hours as officers investigated and cleared the wreckage. Images from the crash site show several pieces of debris lining the roadway.
