CANTON, MA - A Canton woman has been identified as having been fatally shot Saturday eveing in Dorchester, according to the Boston Police Department. Tanye Perkins, 31, died as the result of a double shooting in Dorchester, The Boston Globe reported on Monday. At about 9 p.m. on September 25, officers assigned to District B-3 responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 240 Westview Street in Dorchester. They encountered two adults, a male and a female, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The adult female victim later succumbed to her injuries and has since been identified as Perkins. A BPD spokesman confirmed onWednesday that the male victim is still at a local hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition. The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
