Brookline Department Of Public Health To Host Flu Clinic Oct. 24

BROOKLINE, MA — The Brookline Department of Public Health will hold a community flu clinic on Sunday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Schluntz Gymnasium at Brookline High School. The clinic is free and open to all Brookline adults, seniors, and children 6 months and older. The high-dose influenza vaccine authorized for those age 65 and older will not be available at this clinic, but there will be a limited amount of Flu Mist. "Flu season is approaching quickly, and it is especially important to be protected from all viruses this year given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic," said Interim Health Commissioner Patrick Maloney in a statement. "We encourage all residents to attend this clinic with their families in order to stay safe, healthy and protected from the flu this winter." Residents are asked to wear a short-sleeved or loose-fitting shirt to the clinic and bring all insurance and Medicare cards and a form of ID.
