Arrest Made In New Hampshire Pitbull Concert Assault Case

GILFORD, NH — A New Hampshire man was arrested on Wednesday on a felony charge accused of assaulting a former Concord resident at a Pitbull concert at the Bank of New Pavilion in Gilford in August. Gregory Joseph, 33, of Rochester was arrested by police in Gilford, with the assistance of Rochester police, on a single count of second-degree assault. He was accused of attacking Madysen Audet of Keene after a number of concertgoers were involved in a fight about a possible stolen drink. During the incident, Audet fell and lost consciousness and was temporarily paralyzed due to the incident. Audet's brother, Nicholas Ford, started a now inactive GoFundMe site which raised nearly $21,000. Two detectives, according to Det. Sgt. Christopher Jacques, interviewed 20 people and also eyed video recordings from the incident on Aug. 29. During the course of a month, the detectives were able to identify Joseph as a suspect. While note quoting Audet, Jacques said, the victim wanted the public to know "she has been able to begin walking with assistance and is striving to do so independently." Joseph was released on personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned in Belknap County Superior Court at a future date.
