Hello,
I'm an experienced drummer, 33 year old male, been in Denver for 3 years. Since being here, I've played with a few heavy metal bands, an indie rock band, and several different cover bands. I've played at 7 different venues around Denver and have some contacts for booking shows. I have a high energy style of playing and am a very fast learner. I learn by ear and by taking notes, not by reading usually. Here is my youtube channel where you can see me play some stuff, though it's all heavier rock and metal: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsSzpf6Dt4c28C1C-sHxLyA
I have two drumsets, each for different styles, with a Roland SPD-SX sample pad and triggers for hybrid kit options. I do not enjoy playing e-kits and don't own one. I will not play a fucking Cajon for you haha! My equipment is at Francisco Studios near Stapleton.
I'm looking to get away from playing metal, I love playing all types of music and can sing lead/backup if needed. I'm looking for a band that is serious about playing for large crowds and making some money, but mostly I'm just sick and tired of playing at lame venues for small crowds for 30-45 minute sets. I want to play all night, make people dance, and have a great time. I don't want to spend countless hours practicing the same songs over and over with you, I've already put in my time woodshedding and am more than capable of learning your songs quickly on my own time. I'd love to hear more about what you do, what songs you play, and what you need in a drummer to see if I could be a good fit! Open to covers, originals, any genre, but am only interested in playing with experienced and talented musicians. I also know my way around a piano and can write songs on guitar pro or other software if this is an original project.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you!
Jeff
