Description

Press release from the Village of Lisle: September 28, 2021 The Village's concrete curb and sidewalk replacement program began this week. The program targets sidewalks and curbs throughout the Village that are cracked, deteriorated, or otherwise in need of repair. Replacing curbs and sidewalks on a regular basis is a way to safeguard the Village's investment in its infrastructure by extending the useful service life of sidewalks and roadways. Work occurs by zone, which is broken into three areas with work performed in one zone per year. Zones are defined by the areas east of river, west of river/north of the railroad tracks, and west of river/south of the railroad tracks. This year, work is focused in the area west of the river and north of the railroad tracks. Additionally, specific locations throughout the Village are addressed based on resident input and restoration needed from utility repairs. Work is estimated to take four weeks with the Village's resident engineer from Baxter & Woodman, Inc. overseeing the work throughout the construction period.  This press release was produced by the Village of Lisle.
