JOLIET, IL — A 44-year-old Joliet woman is no longer in the Will County Jail in connection with Sunday night's fight at the McDonald's restaurant in the 500 block of Cass Street, jail records show. Joliet police say Mabel Rodriguez was arrested on two counts of aggravated battery and one count of criminal trespass after a fight broke out in the McDonald's around 8:30 p.m. "Officers determined Rodriguez arrived at the McDonald's and started a fight with another female adult," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English notified Patch. "This fight was broken up by a security guard at which time Rodriguez then attacked the juvenile daughter of the adult victim." Rodriguez was at the McDonald's to fight the two people over issues between families, according to Joliet police. After being arrested, Rodriguez complained of injuries that she sustained in the altercation, police reports state. A Joliet Fire Department ambulance was called the police station to bring her to AMITA Health St. Joseph Medical Center. After being treated and released from the hospital, Joliet police brought her to the Will County Jail. Jail records show that Rodriguez, who lives in the 100 block of East Jefferson Street, was freed from the county jail early Tuesday morning after posting 10 percent of her $7,500 jail.
