Car Stolen, Items Swiped From Display Case: Downers Grove Blotter

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A car was stolen from a parking lot and locked items were taken from a display case at Best Buy in Downers Grove, according to a Sept. 28 crime blotter from the Downers Grove Police Department. Retail Theft at Best Buy, 7401 Lemont Rd. Police say three men came into Best Buy on Sept. 24 and one man broke into a locked display case. A pair of Bose Frames Tempo bluetooth sunglasses, a pair of Bose Frames Rondo bluetooth sunglasses and a Mevo Start webcam were removed from the display case. The men dropped the items and fled on foot after they were confronted by an employee, a police report indicated. Car Stolen from Lot in 3000 Block of South Finley A resident told police they parked their blue 2021 Honda Civic in the southwest corner of a lot at the above address around 1:45 p.m. on Sept. 24. When they returned around 8:30 a.m. the following day, they noticed the car was missing. The car owner told police the car had been locked and all its keys were in their possession.
