This notice was posted on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. The governing board is required to make a determination, through a resolution, as to whether each pupil in the district has sufficient textbooks and instructional materials. For there to be sufficient textbooks and instructional materials, each student, including English learners, must have a textbook or instructional material, or both, to use in class and to take home to complete required homework assignments. The Board is required to hold a public hearing, in accordance with Education Code 35186, at which time the governing board encourages the participation of parents, teachers, bargaining unit leaders, and members of the community who are interested in the affairs of the district.
