Please note that during this period your newsletters might be lighter than usual. Now, onto everything you need to know, in 5 minutes or less. — Nicole Fallon-Peek First, today's weather: Partly cloudy throughout the day. High: 65 Low: 52. Here are the top stories today in and around Smithtown: A $120M bond referendum was passed 1,251 to 430 by residents of the Smithtown Central School District yesterday. The bond is earmarked for projects that will prioritize safety and security, renovate and repair aging facilities, and continue to provide opportunities for students to succeed, according to the district. No tax revenue will be needed to support the bond payments, so residents will not see a tax increase as a result of this initiative.
