Description
CARTERSVILLE, GA — A ribbon cutting is set for Friday for the renovated Goodyear Clubhouse.
The new look includes the removal of the old drop ceiling to expose the pitched roof, the brick interior has been repainted with a light color, and glass doors were installed give it an updated feel. There also a new entry ramp.
The ribbon cutting will be held at 11 a.m. at the Goodyear Clubhouse, 3 Goodyear Ave.
This venue can be used for company gatherings, weddings and birthday parties.
The Goodyear Clubhouse renovation pays homage to the 1940s - with a touch of modern industrial design. The Goodyear Clubhouse was constructed in 1940 by the Goodyear Company mainly for employee functions.
Currently, the Goodyear Clubhouse is a City of Cartersville property that is operated and maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department. It is used for rentals as well as recreation programming.
This renovation project is funded in part through the voter approved Parks and Recreation General Obligation Bonds, as well as Tourism Product Development Funds.
For more information on renting the Goodyear Clubhouse, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 770-607-6170.
