Description

WOBURN, MA — Woburn police warned not to approach or feed coyotes, following recent reports of coyotes active in the area. "If you are approached by a Coyote you should yell, wave your arms, or throw something at them to scare them off," the police said. "Do not turn and run away as this may encourage the animal to chase you." Attacks on people are very rare, the police noted, but small animals can be targeted. "Remember to keep your pets under supervision at all times," the police said. Anyone who observes a coyote displaying odd or bold behavior should call the police at 781-933-1212 Ext. 0. Christopher Huffaker can be reached at 412-265-8353 or [email protected].
