Here are the top stories today in Atlanta: There's good news for job seekers today. Visa plans to open a new Atlanta hub, a major expansion that is projected to create about 1,000 jobs over the next several years. Located at 1200 Peachtree Street in Midtown, the new 123,000-square-foot Visa office is slated to open in 2022. (ValdostaToday.com)The Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified the suspect in Tuesday's bow and arrow carjacking in Midtown as Trent Andrew Emory, 29, of Canton. Atlanta police say the suspect shot an arrow through a woman's windshield in Midtown Tuesday morning while demanding she get out of her car. After the woman complied, the suspect allegedly fled in her vehicle. Nearly an hour later, Cobb County and Marietta police found the stolen car after it hit the side of a bridge in Marietta. When the suspect pointed a compound bow loaded with an arrow at officers, one opened fire, striking the suspect once. No officers were hurt. The GBI, which is investigating the shooting, said the suspect was hospitalized in stable condition. (WYFF)How did a pair of gators get partygoers' goat at a Midtown nightclub? Death rolls and snapping helped. After a herd of goats recently escaped in Buckhead, congregating in front of a furniture store near the intersection of Piedmont and Peachtree, weekend revelers in Midtown had to contend with critters of a crocodilian nature. Two alligators over 7 feet long, sometimes angrily thrashing and rolling, got the attention of startled partiers outside Revel nightclub. According to the Department of Natural Resources, the event was handled by an exhibitor who is licensed to show alligators in Atlanta. Phyllis Allen, 63, was last seen wearing a brown shirt and brown pants at her home on the 3000 block of Campbelton Road in northeast Atlanta around 7:30 a.m. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Homicide/Missing Person Unit at 404-546-4235.
