Busch Machine and Tool is a locally owned company seeking an independent and dependable general laborer/machine shop assistant. This position offers a work environment with a good deal of autonomy and self-direction. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Assists mechanic with the service and repair of company vehicles and equipment -Monitors batteries and fluid levels in equipment and replaces/ replenishes as needed -Maintain and clean vehicles, equipment, and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times -Keep an accurate log of all work performed -Adhere to company work safety policies -Pick up supplies and parts from vendors as needed -Pick up or drop off equipment to job sites as needed -Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications include: knowledge of basic lawn equipment; valid Michigan driver's license; prior experience with machine shop environments or mechanical shops a plus. Must be willing to travel Starting pay range $15 to $17 based on experience and skills. We are an equal opportunity employer.
