Description

Deerfield Academy is seeking a Custodian to work full-time year-round (Group 1) in the Dormitories, 1st shift (typically Monday - Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm). Interested candidates must be willing to work overtime and occasionally on weekends. Responsibilities include cleaning and general maintenance of Dorms, cleaning restrooms; vacuuming; mopping; trash, recycling, and compost removal; as well as other duties and other locations as assigned. The successful candidate will have completed 12th grade or equivalent; have 3 – 12 months of custodial experience, or a related field; ability to read and write and take oral and written instructions; ability to pay close attention to detail; ability to work as part of a team or individually; and have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, and to serving the needs of a diverse community. **SIGN-ON BONUS** The successful candidate will receive a $750.00 sign-on bonus ($500 paid at time of hire and $250 paid at the end of the academic year.) Competitive pay starting at $15 per hour based on experience. The Academy offers a generous benefits package including health, dental, retirement, and paid time off.
