Maintenance Crew Lead Job Description: This position may require the employee to perform all, but not limited to, the tasks listed below. This position is responsible for leading the Maintenance Crew in daily operations including quality control, training, punctuality and safety. Candidates must also have strong organization skills, ability to complete appropriate paperwork, and possess good leadership and communication skills. The employee will provide quality service that meets or exceeds our customers’ and management’s expectations. The employee will show attention to detail and effectively communicate with subordinates, peers and his/her supervisor. Must work hours needed to achieve production and sales goals, including working Saturdays as required during peak season or as requested to. All employees will possess a friendly, customer service minded attitude and will conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. (Maintenance Crew Lead reports directly to the owner). Daily/Weekly tasks: 1. Daily preparation of equipment 2. Report on time at regular start time 3. Load all tools, gas and other necessary equipment/materials. Secure all equipment safely. 4. Perform and manage landscape and maintenance tasks on client’s properties. 5. Ensure the work contracted is implemented efficiently and according to the contracted specifications. 6. Provide labor associated with the maintenance of all lawns & garden beds, including cleanouts. 7. Perform all tasks of operations including but not limited to mowing, line trimming, blowing, leaf and debris removal, weeding, edging, hedging, raking and mulch installation. 8. Proper use of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment and practices of the crew. 9. Plan and manage lawncare route for service and production needs. 10. Meet with customers on their property or calls on telephone to discuss their landscape, lawncare, and special service needs. 11. Coach and train maintenance crew in the actual day to day methods, leveraging knowledge and experience to assist technicians in productions, sales, and/or customer service functions, as required. 12. Operate a manual transmission in order to drive landscape truck and haul trailer safely 13. Other duties as assigned. End of the day duties. 1. Complete time sheet. Inventory and report all materials used on the job that day. 2. Review the whole week’s jobs and prepare for the next day’s jobs. 3. Unload/load equipment and material, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash, debris, etc. daily. 4. Order parts and supplies as necessary. Performance skills and qualifications: 1. Ability to lift 30 lbs. + consistently throughout the day 2. Must be able to stand and work for 8 hours per day 3. Must be able to walk, bend, crouch, stoop, dig, rake 4. Must have a valid driver’s license to safely operate vehicles and landscape equipment 5. Must be clean shaven, well groomed, and hair must be cut above collar 6. Must have smartphone with service for on the job time logging via a third party app 7. Ability to read & write English, including maps & diagram 8. Drug free work environment Pay: $18.00 - $20.00
