Freight Shipping Admin Person (Vancouver/Orchards) Compensation: Competitive Employment type: Full-time We have an opening for a Freight Shipping Admin Person to join our team! About Our company: For the past 50 years, Roadmaster has manufactured superior-quality towing products for the RV aftermarket. We build tow bars, baseplates, supplemental braking systems, wiring kits, trailer suspensions, and fifth wheel hitches, among other products. We are based in the Pacific Northwest and employ 280 people at our three facilities totaling more than 250,000 square feet. The Shipping Person processes all outgoing shipments of product and provide support loading and unloading equipment to meet customers’ needs, increase Company efficiency and reduce shipping costs. The Essential Functions of the Shipping & Receiving Position Include: • Unload and receive all parts, equipment, and general delivery shipments. • Inspect all incoming deliveries; note discrepancies, damage, and freight charges; process packing slips. • Route parts, equipment and general deliveries per priority levels. • Ship outgoing parts, per designated priorities and shipping cost expectations. Process shipping documentation. • Maintain safety and organization of Shipping and Receiving floor and packaging areas. • Support the Warehouse with loading and unloading inbound/outbound product. • Inspect incoming & outgoing product for damage. • Document and improve all shipping and receiving procedures. The Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of the Shipping & Receiving Position Include: • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 75 (with assistance if needed) and over 75 lbs. using mechanical or other assistance. • Good verbal and written communication skills and customer relations skills when working with customer or employee. • Ability to quickly establish rapport and positive working relationships • Strong prioritizing, organizational and planning skills • Intermediate user Microsoft Office • One year of experience using a computer for data input and data look-up • Self-motivated, quick learner, high level of initiative • Good judgment, conscientious, strong follow-through • Resourceful • Demonstrated ability to shift focus rapidly as needed in a changing environment • Proven personal characteristics such as positive attitude, team player, professional demeanor and even temperament. • Ability to maintain accuracy in the midst of shifting demands • Basic math skills The Education & Experience of the Shipping Person Include: • At least one year of continued freight shipping experience. • Additional knowledge and experience working with general delivery carriers preferred.
