Description
3 year old female rat terrier mix for re-homing. She is the sweetest girl ever, but I am not able to keep her. I was able to adopt her from a coworker about a week ago because I noticed signs of abuse and couldn't let the sweet dog keep living in those circumstances, but my apartments are not allowing me to keep her and I must find her a good, loving, patient home. She is fully potty trained for outdoors only, and I have never seen her try to use the bathroom inside. She gets along great with kids and other animals, as I've seen, but she is very skiddish when placed in certain situations, such as being pet on the top of her head and during bath time. She loves all people, but she seems more trusting of men. I wish I could keep her and build up that trust, but because I'm not able to, I hope to find her a great home that's permanent and stable. She is fixed and very obedient.
I was given a leash with her, but it has seen better days, her crate, and a couple toys that will come with her. I've noticed she prefers the bed or couch above the floor, and she loves to cuddle in bed at night for sleep. She really doesn't love sitting or laying in the floor. She knows the commands up, down, potty, quiet, kiss, and come here. Please contact me as soon as possible with any questions. I really hate to let her go, but she needs a good home where she has room to run. Just a warning though, a fence is preferred because I let her off the leash the day after I got her and I found her 2 miles away. She runs very fast, was bred for hunting. She just wants love and attention. Absolutely loves and protects children, and gets along great with my neighbors cat. I am asking a re-homing fee of $50 to ensure she is going to a place that can care for her properly. Text
