Join PAE Principal Marc Brune and Associate Karina Hershberg for an in-person tour through the PAE Living Building. Located in the heart of Portland’s historic Skidmore/Old Town District, the mixed-use building will be the first fully certified Living Building in Portland and largest urban commercial Living Building in the world. The design is integrated into the fabric of the historic neighborhood, embracing a forward-looking future for the city with the highest possible energy performance, sustainability standards, and architectural aesthetic. Marc and Karina will discuss the design process, focusing on three areas: the technology employed to meet the Living Building Certification, the site, and the financial constraints of the project.
