Salty Dog UNDER 21 WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN Salty Dog started out has a house band for the now defunct Sullys Pub in Hartford Ct. The group started officially in October of 2019 although they have all played together over the years. John Aregood and Rob Salter met many moons ago and toured for years with longtime Ct tribute band Riders on the Storm. Both also played in various versions of the popular Ct group , The Pete Scheips Band fronted by longtime band leader, solo performer, guitarist and bassist Pete Scheips. Pete and Rob worked at Sullys Pub running the long standing open mic on Sunday nights. This is where they met and worked with guitarist Justin Rose. Justin became an employee at the club further solidifying their musical relationship. Each member has various musical tastes and play a variety of music which is rooted in blues and classic rock but there are elements of alt country, reggae and roots music in their musical lexicon. The Main Pub stage always welcomes the greatest artist in all genres. Rock, funk, jazz, bluegrass, country and folk are all respersented on our musical calendar.
