Description

Boulder Library Foundation Fundraiser at the Museum of Boulder: A Masked Petit Gala Featuring Loco Cajon Trio & Grande Orquestra Navarre Join us for an inspiring late afternoon concert at the Museum of Boulder, preceded by bountiful buffets and custom cocktails on the top-floor balcony overlooking the Flatirons. Learn how Boulder Library Foundation deepens the presence, meaning and usefulness of the Boulder Public Library for kids, patrons and the entire Boulder community - and how YOU can play a leading or supporting role. Our November 14 concert presents the Boulder Philharmonic's Percussion Ensemble: Loco Cajon Trio, followed by Grande Orquestra Navarre featuring Tom Hagerman of DeVotchka. Grand Orquestra Navarre combine the heartbeat of an old cabaret orchestra with the modern feel of cutting edge new music, classical remixes and nuevo tango. Our unique style is both a throwback and a revelation. SARA PARKINSON // piano TOM HAGERMAN // accordion & violin SUSAN CAHILL // double bass EVAN ORMAN // bandoneon & cello Boulder Library Foundation " is THE organization that deepens the presence, meaning and usefulness of the Boulder Public Library for kids, patrons, and the entire Boulder community by supporting and funding innovative, creative, collaborative, and impactful activities, events and programs." Please note: Proof of full vaccination is required for concert admission for everyone over the age of 12, or a negative result from a COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of showtime. We are requiring that face masks be worn by all patrons, staff and volunteers while inside the museum. Since 1974, the Boulder Library Foundation has been enriching the Boulder Public Library experience by providing funding for literacy, cultural, and creative programs, not covered by the City of Boulder’s budget. Our Library is the cornerstone of our community. And programs are the cornerstone of our Library. By funding programs like BLDG 61 Makerspace, Lego Story Club, and Computer Science Education Week, the Boulder Library Foundation is working to ensure our Library’s remarkable work continues far into the future.
