Explore the Weyanoke Sanctuary and nature journaling and collage with Slover Library We will enjoy a brief tour and talk by Weyanoke Sanctuary volunteers, then Carly from Slover Library will lead a creative nature journaling and collage activity. Kids of all ages and families can make a beautiful and informative memory book of the plants, birds and other natural elements they discover at Weyanoke. From leaf rubbings, to drawing and painting, options to make a nature collage abound and are all ages and abilities friendly. This workshop is free but does require registration. Space is limited, please cancel if you will be unable to attend. Current COVID guidelines will be observed for outdoor gatherings. The gate at the entrance of Weyanoke will be open - come on in and you'll find the group by calling out or walking a little bit into the sanctuary if no one is at the gate to guide you. This activity will follow Slover Library's Storytime on the Trail at 10:30am suitable for younger children and families.
