Does your child know what to do if they found a gun in your home, or at their friend’s house? Parents/Guardians are FREE and a parent or guardian MUST attend this important class with their child. Description: This course is designed as an educational approach only, and we will NOT be firing live firearms! "Does your child know what to do if they found a gun in your home, or at their friend’s house? 1 in 3 homes with guns also have children in the home. We will help begin taking away the mystery of guns by presenting them with visuals on gun safety, the uses of guns, interactive periods, as well as role-playing to help them understand what to do if they encounter a gun. This is a no touch/hands off class. Your child will see real handguns though they won’t be handling any firearms, real or otherwise, in this awareness class. A parent or guardian MUST attend this important class with their child. Snacks and drinks (water, hot cocoa, coffee) are complimentary. Please plan ahead for any allergy restrictions. FAQs Is there an age limit? No, this is an educational course for ALL ages and for the whole family. Do I need a FOID card for this event? No, a FOID is not required to attend the course. I don't have any experience! No problem! That's what we're here for! What's the refund policy? We do not offer refunds, but we do allow rollovers. Meaning if there is a need to not attend the course, you may roll your slot over to the next available one. There is a $50.00 one time fee associated per ticket purchased. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? We are co-located with The Tac Shack Indoor Shooting Range on North University Street in Peoria.
