PLEASE READ THE DETAILS OF THIS FIELD TRIP CAREFULLY. EACH FIELD TRIP HAS UNIQUE GUIDELINES FOR AGES, NUMBER OF CHAPERONES, ETC. NO REFUNDS! Attention High School Students! Join your student body on Friday, December 17 at 4pm to see Solvang and meet new High School friends! Upon arrival you will be divided into smaller groups to JOIN IN ON THE CITY WIDE HUNT FOR THE MYSTERIOUS SOLVANG NISSE! THIS NISSE HAS HIDDEN THEMSELVES THROUGHOUT DOWNTOWN SOLVANG AND WE NEED YOUR HELP TRACKING THEM DOWN! The Nisse hunt takes approximately 2 hours. The hunt starts at 4pm and goes until 6pm. If you want to grab hot chocolate or a Solvang pastry, bring a few extra dollars to spend along the way. This event is for High School Students only. We are allowing 3 total parent chaperones to attend the hunt with each group. Please reach out to [email protected] if you would like to be a chaperone. This field trip encapsulates a historical value and includes a tour of the Historic Danish Town founded in 1911 by Danish immigrants. See you at December 17 at 4pm sharp, Solvang Park, Corner of Mission Dr. Solvang, CA.While normally all field trips require a chaperone, this high school only field trip will not allow chaperones beyond the three that are needed. Since your student will be dropped off please complete this waiver and email it to Charity Rovelo at [email protected]. Your student may not be dropped off unless this waiver is completed. We encourage families to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value.**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.***Masks will be required for all indoor field trips per California state guidelines.Please read our refund policy! Refunds will not be given. As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip please contact the teacher that planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you. You may not send a different family in your place as we will not have a waiver for them. Can I pay using my funds? Yes! You can pay for your student’s tickets with their planning amounts. You will need to choose the free Heartland Student ticket option. The actual ticket price will be manually debited from your student's planning amounts. If the free Heartland Student ticket is chosen and there are not sufficient funds to cover the cost of the ticket the order will be canceled and the tickets will be made available to other families. It is the responsibility of each family to know their current balance. This information is available in Procurify. (Take into account all pending orders. Please keep in mind that pending orders may cause your balance to change.) Please make sure that you have sufficient funds before purchasing tickets for field trips. If a family mistakenly registers for a ticket that cannot be covered with planning amounts their tickets will be canceled and made available for another family. Whenever possible we will list the option of paying out of pocket for field trips by using a credit card through Eventbrite. Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? Grades 9-12 only please. What are the check-in procedures? Meet at Solvang park at 3:45 to get checked in, look for the check in table and the Heartland Poster. Is there on-site parking available? Parking is free, look for the public lots. Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Yes Please do not bring food that contains peanuts to any Heartland event.
