This workshop will cover what you should have ready to pursue government grant funding and ensure your organization is addressing D.E.I. This event is available both virtually and in-person.Have you ever wondered what it takes to receive grant funding from the government? Are you curious as to how difficult it is to manage a government grant? Is advocating for your nonprofit the same as lobbying? How does diversity, equity, and inclusion play a role in receiving government funding? The Pursuing Government Grants and Advocacy for your Organization session will cover what you should have ready to pursue government grant funding, how to legally advocate for your organization/cause, and the importance of ensuring your organization is addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). You will leave with templates and toolboxes to prepare yourself for seeking government grant funding and advocating for your organization/cause. - Presented by the Inland Empire Community Collaborative (IECC). In partnership with The California Endowment and the Inland Empire Community Foundation's (IECF) new Office of Policy and Engagement. - In-person attendees will be served coffee and refreshments. - In accordance to CDC guidelines, and out of respect to the rules put in place by the City of Colton to protect residents and employees, everyone will be required to wear a mask at all times, regardless of vaccination status. If for any reason you are unable to wear a mask, we have made this event available virtually for you to attend from your place of comfort. The Inland Empire Community Collaborative (IECC) is coalition of over 85 non-profit agencies working together to strengthen our organizations and improve outcomes for individuals and communities throughout San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. The IECC seeks to address the need for capacity of nonprofits in the region. The target audiences for the IECC include: Nonprofits in the Inland EmpireFunders who support non–profit capacity buildingGrant makersOther capacity building Government entities The IECC began providing capacity building in 2015, gained nonprofit status in 2017, and has continued to provide and expand services. Each year IECC successfully delivers its capacity building conference, THRIVE, and delivers sustainability planning to a new cohort of agencies through our Capacity Building Academy (CBA). We have raised over 15 MILLION dollars and we are growing quickly! Five years from now success will be defined through the IECC acting as a vibrant community of members building capacity in the Inland Empire.
