METL (Media + Emerging Technology Lab) at UNCSA School of Filmmaking
invites you to join us for an evening of original VR films
METL’s nationally recognized Immersive Storytelling Residency Program is sponsored in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, Epic Games MegaGrants, and the Small Business & Technology Development Center. The residency brings together talented screenwriters, game developers, and 3D technical artists from across the country and from within our community to create an interactive and immersive short film of their own choosing over six months.
We will be previewing two projects from the 2021 residency:
“Black Ice” and “System: The Contribution”
Our residents are thrilled to share their work with you and our Winston Salem community at SECCA prior to pursuing their goals of premiering at some of the world’s most notable film festivals.
UNCSA Students are invited to enjoy these VR experiences from 2pm-5pm.
We hope you can join us! Spots are limited so please RSVP as soon as possible.
Sign-ups to participate in each VR experience is available upon arrival.
Please Note: Masks are required indoors while social distancing is encouraged outdoors.
