A conversation on teaching Black theatre. True Colors is proud to present “Preserving Our History: Teaching Black Theatre.” Presented in partnership with the Atlanta History Center, this Community Conversation will feature leading theatre educators, as they discuss the joys and challenges of teaching black stories and performance at both historically black and predominantly white institutions of higher learning. Due to public health safety measures, this event will be limited capacity. Therefore, seating is limited to two (2) for each attendee that RSVPs. RSVP is required, in order to attend. The event will also stream live on the Atlanta History Center’s YouTube channel, as well as the homepage of True Colors at www.truecolorstheatre.org. RSVP is not necessary for those who plan to watch the live stream. True Colors Theatre Company is a nonprofit regional theater company based in Atlanta, GA. True Colors Theatre Company’s mission is to celebrate the rich tradition of Black storytelling while giving voice to bold artists from all cultures. We add dimension and relevance to our work on the stage through active community events and 3rd – 12th grade education programming.
