It’s that time again! We welcome you to come and join us for our 2nd Halloween powerlifting competition. SQUAT, BENCH & DEADLIFT!!! It’s that time again! We welcome you to come and join us for our 2nd Halloween powerlifting competition. This competition will include squat, bench and dealift. The event will take place at Willpower Fitness (1014 Walt Williams rd, Lakeland FL 33809) on Friday October 29th at 6pm. Registration will be $30 per contestant ($40 if you register the day of) Trophies and prizes will be up for grabs, and all contestants will receive a competition T-shirt. We ask that you pre-register and pay for your admission prior to the event through the link on this event page, so we can get your shirt size ordered and made. What are the rules??? SQUAT-BENCH-DEAD LIFT 3 judges, 3 lifts per event -$30 Registration fee -$40 If you register the day of event -Weigh-ins and rules will be day of event (6pm…lifting will tentatively start at 6:30 PM) Weight classes: Men: 165 and Below, 166-185, 186-205, 206-230, 231+ Women: 129 and Below,130-164, 165-185, 186-205, 206+ Authorized Equipment: Lifting shoes, belt/brace, knee sleeves/wrist wraps, mouthpiece, chalk, high socks (deadlifts), MAKE SURE YOUR COSTUME ISN’T too blousy! We need to be able to gauge the depth of your squats, ensure your butt remains on the bench during bench press and you complete a proper lockout on your deadlifts. Rules and prizes will be posted closer to event date 1. The first rule and MOST important (you will not be allowed to compete without it) You MUST be in costume! This keeps it fun, festive and fair across the board 💪 1. Powerlifters have 3 attempts in the squat, bench press, and deadlift to reach the highest number they can lift for 1 repetition. The scores from each lift are added together to give the lifter a total. The total is ranked within a gender and weight class to determine the winner of that specific category. 2. Belts, knee sleeves and elbow sleeves will all be allowed. Wrist wraps are NOT.
