Carnivorous Plants Presentation and Sale Saturday, October 16, 2021 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Instructor: Kenny Coogan Learn carnivorous plant care and their history-presented by a vegetarian! Join Kenny Coogan, Education Director of the International Carnivorous Plant Society, as he shares the murderous qualities of these wicked plants! With over 650 species found globally, and several only found in Florida, it’s easy to find one that will grow for you. The talk will be followed by a carnivorous plant sale including, Nepenthes, Sarracenia, Drosera, Pinguicula and the infamous Venus Fly Trap. Kenny Coogan is a food, farm, and flower columnist. Coogan leads workshops about owning chickens, vegetable gardening, animal training, and corporate team building on his homestead. He has a FL state nursery license and grows dozens of carnivorous plant species. His newest book 99 ½ Homesteading Poems: A Backyard Guide to Raising Creatures, Growing Opportunity, and Cultivating Community is now available at his website kennycoogan.com. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to FNGLA Certified Professionals upon request. Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit.
