Reading Gateway Community Volunteer Day & Bulb Planting

Come help us continue the progress we've made a the Reading Gateway trail section! Join us for a volunteer clean-up and beautification of the Reading Gateway portion of the Schuylkill River Trail. We'll be planting bulbs to brighten up the area and cleaning up debris from recent storms. Schuylkill River Greenways (SRG) will provide gloves and trash bags. We're asking any volunteers with bulb planters and hand shovels to please bring these items to the Community Day. SRG will give a presentation of all the work and improvements that have been completed on this section of the trail and how the community can continue to support this effort. Volunteers and attendees will enjoy delicious food from the Grilly Cheese Food Truck and beverages from our partner Sly Fox. Volunteers will be asked to maintain social distancing during this event. Should CDC guidance change between now and the Oct. 16th event, SRG will follow any updated guidelines. Participant of Image Release By registering for this event, you give permission for your photograph to be taken during this event and activity and for the organizers of this activity to use your photographic image for any advertising or publicity for this and other Schuylkill River Greenway Association events. Waiver must be signed as well. A parent/guardian signature is required for participants under 18 years of age at the time of event.
