JEA is committed to promoting energy conservation and initiatives to reduce air emissions. National Drive Electric Week – Sept. 25 through Oct 3, 2021 -- is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Jacksonville residents who are electric vehicle (EV) owners or are considering going electric are invited to attend JEA's first National Drive Electric Week event at Jacksonville's Museum of Science and History on Oct. 2. JEA is hosting its event with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, North Florida Transportation Planning Organization and North Florida Clean Fuels Coalition. Guests will be able to:- Test drive electric vehicles from local dealers, including VW and Porsche- Meet current EV drivers and learn about the benefits of driving electric vehicles- Record why they like being an EV owner in a video booth- Ride eBikes from Lakeshore Bicycles. JEA also is featuring Arcimoto's three-wheeled all-electric "Fun Utility Vehicle." And JTA's fully autonomous electric vehicle, Ollie, will be on display.The event is free, but guests are encouraged to register: RSVP in advance here. JEA will be offering the first 100 attendees a $5 coupon for admission to the museum and will have other prizes throughout the day. Hope to see you there!
