Generac To Create 700 Jobs In Wisconsin Expansion

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Generac will hire 700 manufacturing and office employees in Wisconsin and invest $53 million across facilities in the state, according to a news release from Gov. Tony Evers' office. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. will contribute $19 million in tax credits if the manufacturer meets its capital investment and job creation requirements by 2024, Evers' office said. Waukesha-based Generac is an energy technology manufacturing and design company. The company's $53 million investment will go to expanding its corporate operations into the village of Pewaukee with the purchase of a new building at W236N1402 Busse Road, which will house 300 employees. The company's headquarters will remain in Waukesha. "Today's announcement highlights Generac's continued commitment to calling Waukesha County home. We will continue to work with our educational and municipal partners to build upon our stable, skilled community workforce that employers rely on," said Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow in a statement. Generac has locations in Eagle, Whitewater, Jefferson, Oshkosh, Berlin and Janesville. Outside of Wisconsin, it has facilities in South Carolina, Vermont and Maine. Internationally, it is located in Europe, Latin America, Australia and China.
