Hey, Madison! What was your best Halloween costume? It's important to start thinking about costumes now to best avoid the classic last minute ensembles like a ghost, sexy cat, Jim from The Office or some variation of a hippy/flower child. Unless, of course, you don't care if someone has the same costume as you. I'm sure many adults do not. But given Halloween is my favorite holiday, I usually have pretty unique looks. Though, for years as a child, I would exclusively dress as Jessie from "Toy Story" and Ariel from "The Little Mermaid." I guess I just really wanted to be a red head. Here are the top stories today in Madison: Madison Police are looking for two men who stole a Humpty Dumpty sculpture from a vendor at Art of the Square this weekend. The $1,400 piece depicts Humpty Dumpty sitting on a toilet and reading a book. (Wisconsin State Journal) Gov. Tony Evers and Democrats are introducing legislation which would invest in rural communities. At the World Dairy Expo, Evers said that these investments, over $20 million, aim to support the agriculture industry and farmers' mental health. This would in part be done through the creation of the Regional Farmer Mental Health Program to connect farmers to mental health services. (The Cap Times)A puppy was stolen from a Madison home during a residential burglary. The pup, named Doyle, is a 15- or 16-week old chocolate lab. Police are still searching.
