I am hoping meet some acoustic jazz and folk musicians. I play upright bass and some guitar. Fiddlers, mandolin players, accordion, banjo, clarinet, musical saw, washboard, acoustic guitar players. My vision is a group of friends who get together and play acoustic music once or twice a week. We will find a weekly gig in town playing at a happy hour, maybe some farmer's markets or charity events. Weddings and parties. Maybe some regional travel within an hour or so. I envision a wide variety of styles ranging from bluegrass, old jazzy hobo music, gypsy jazz, swing, fiddle tunes, contradance, Klezmer, eastern European, Latin. Waltzes and Polkas. High energy acoustic music that people can dance to. But in the end, everyone should bring some songs they like to perform and we'll mix it up. It's going to be fun and I think we will find many opportunities to play. I was previously in a successful band doing the exact same thing for over 15 years, and I know that there's a fun niche waiting for us. Reply here and I'll return the message with my contact info.
