Our team is looking for a Cabinet Maker to assist in building custom cabinets and furniture. You need to have some experience with woodworking (cabinet making is a plus), power tools and excellent attention to detail. Experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. This position has the possibility to transition into a full time schedule.
Possible Cabinet Maker Responsibilities To Include:
Set up tools and materials
Finish sanding and other detail work
Interact with customers and other contractors with positivity and respect
Maintain professionalism on all job sites regardless of who is present
Install cabinets according to room design specifications and plans
Varnish, stain, and paint cabinets
Follow safety guidelines and clean up at job sites
Construct and assemble cabinet components, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman and client
Verify and double check all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges and side panels, always using blueprints or design plans for reference
Clean and repair all equipment necessary for your work, including handsaws, table saws, skill saws, and a variety of drills and sanding tools
Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently and the projects will meet budgetary targets
Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles, and order replacement materials when needed
Match materials and grains to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units
Reinforce joints and attachments to maximize sturdiness and durability without compromising aesthetic appeal or functionality
Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials, such as nails and screws
Schedule:
Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts
Experience:
Construction Experience (1 year preferred)
Carpentry Experience (1 year preferred)
License/Certification
Driver's License
