Are you looking for a break into the HVAC trade? We are a locally owned and operated Heating and Air Conditioning Company that has been in business for over 80 years. We are located in Ceres, CA. We currently have an apprentice position available in our installation department. This position is a full time position where you will work alongside of a skilled leadman and practice the trade. This is an entry level position working toward an installer job title. Being detail oriented, having good communication and customer skills, along with a basic mechanical knowledge is helpful in being a success in this industry. Core Tasks- Skills/ (Skills that are taught) • Fieldwork - HVAC residential and commercial heating and air conditioning installations • Perform Air Testing, Adjusting and Balancing of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. • Modification and adjustment of mechanical equipment to achieve designed airflow performance • Temperature Calibration of equipment • Check and Service Warehouse Refrigeration Systems • Troubleshoot HVAC issues for Residential and Commercial Customers • Prepare clear, concise reports that communicate effectively all testing results • Read and interpret architectural and mechanical plans and specifications Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record • Pass background and drug screen • Demonstrate a willingness to work hard and learn Additional Skills you will acquire: • Operate scissor and genie lifts in a safe manner • Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices • Installation of complete duct systems • Installation of HVAC equipment Job Type: Full Time Apprenticeship position with training Benefits: • Health insurance • Paid holidays • 24 Hours paid sick pay per year • 401k • Bonuses (based on company performance) Schedule: • 8 – 12 hour shift • Day shift • Monday – Friday with optional Saturday work when available • Overtime Education: • High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: • Mechanical Knowledge helpful but not required (Preferred) License/Certification: • Driver's License Starting Rate $18.00/HR
