A group of people from Pacific Grove gathered today by the beautiful old tree “America’s last hometown” plans to cut down this week. Many still hope it can be saved… As we increasingly lose trees to fires and development, or people who just don’t care, we might think about these words: "Trees exhale for us so that we can inhale them to stay alive. Can we ever forget that? Let us love trees with every breath we take until we perish."
