When we aren't going on outings, we are romping around our up-and-coming training resort in Winters. We are hiring someone to fulfill a special role with us; more specifically, we are searching for a dog lover who wants to learn exactly what it takes to turn a dream into reality. This is a great job if you're an enthusiast who aspires to work closely with animals and build your way up to the top! Pay starts at $16 an hour with amazing bonuses and benefits. Continued education will be provided and compensation is expected to evolve as you continue growing into the position. The apprenticeship lasts for a minimum with targeted checkpoints in place. Apprenticeship duties: -Care for, clean after, and train all animals on property. -Communicate with clients and portray company standards -Assist in the property vision, renovation, and maintenance. -Provide transportation in the company vehicle to and from locations as requested. -Create educational resources, marketing materials, and client updates. -Perform basic grooming assistant and veterinarian assistant tasks as delegated. -Complete daily tasks on check list, including, but not limited to: deep cleaning, supervision, shopping/inventory, breeding, landscaping, training, property development, research, and more. In addition to the above, there will be outside educational checkpoints to meet outside of work hours. Minimum requirements: -Must be comfortable with or willing to build comfort with various animal species. -Must be willing to work hard, sweat, and get dirty - this career is not for the faint hearted. -Must be passionate and committed to the industry. We are building the career of a lifetime just for you but expect a team playing and dedicated apprentice in return. -Must have a driver's license and either be fully vaccinated against Covid or test negative upon request. -Must be a hard working, go-getter person who can lift up to 50 pounds. -Must enjoy working as a communicative team member who is open to constructive feedback.
