Press release from the City of Wheaton: August 27, 2021 On Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, Governor Pritzker announced that all people over the age of 2 will be required to wear masks in public indoor settings – regardless of vaccination status – effective Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, due to increased COVID-19 infection and hospitalization rates in Illinois. This state mandate applies to indoor spaces such as stores, restaurants, businesses and government buildings, in addition to facilities with mask mandates already in place, such as schools and healthcare facilities. To comply with this mandate, beginning Monday, Aug. 30, 2021: There are many ways that you can conduct City business without the need to visit City Hall. You can make utility bill payments, pay parking tickets and submit general City bill payments and much more on the City's website at www.wheaton.il.us/billpay. Or, use the drive-through drop box just west of City Hall (the entrance is off of Wesley Street) for submitting City bills (no other U.S. mail, please). COVID-19 vaccines are readily available for anyone age 12 and older through local pharmacies and at the DuPage County Health Department Community Vaccination Clinic at 111 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton. The City encourages community members to get the COVID-19 vaccine to help stop the spread of the virus.
