Strangling, Fleeing Home Leads To Domestic Battery Arrest: Cops

PLAINFIELD, IL — An 18-year-old Plainfield man got into an argument with a relative and tried strangling them Sept. 23, leading to his arrest for domestic battery, police said. Around 7:30 p.m., Plainfield police were sent to a house on South Winterberry Lane for a domestic disturbance call. There, officers spoke to the complainant who said Ryan E. Marchisio grabbed their neck during an argument, according to police. Marchisio fled the home before police arrived, but was later located near the intersection of 127th Street and Van Dyke Road, officials said. Police arrested him and brought him to the Plainfield Police Department, where he was charged with domestic battery. Marchisio was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
