Attempted Robbery At Stoneridge: 3 Teens Arrested With Gun

PLEASANTON, CA — Three teenagers were arrested Monday afternoon in connection with an armed robbery attempt at Stoneridge Shopping Center, police said. The victim, a woman who was ambushed after exiting her car, was uninjured, police said. The teenagers, who were not named in a police statement because they are minors, were found with a gun and booked into Juvenile Hall on felony charges, police said. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. when the woman was approached by the teenagers, who demanded she give them her car and purse, police said. One grabbed her by the arms and another pointed a gun in her face. She pulled away and yelled for help, prompting the teens to run inside the shopping center, police said. Mall security and police with the City of Pleasanton and Bay Area Rapid Transit helped find them. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 925-931-5100.
