Nashua Woman Gets 5 To 15 Years In Prison For Drug Sale Death

CONCORD, NH — A woman from Nashua who pleaded guilty last year to dispensing a fatal dose of fentanyl to another person, which led to their death, was sentenced to prison on Monday. Kaylee Santos, 29, of Nashua, who pleaded guilty to a single felony count of dispensing a controlled drug-death resulting-fentanyl charge in 2020, was sentenced to five to 15 years in prison connected to the April 2016 death of Jonathan Kohli, 22, a real estate agent from Brookline. She was indicted in December 2018 after a lengthy investigation. Santos, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office, has the opportunity to earn two years off the sentence by completing drug treatment programming while in prison as well as other conditions, including counseling and having no contact with a co-defendant or Kohli's family. Kate Giaquinto, the director of communications, did not return an email or phone call seeking the name of the co-defendant in the case. Santos must also make $9,936 in restitution payments and perform 50 hours of community service after being within six months of being released from prison. Her booking photo was not available from the New Hampshire Department of Corrections before publication. Kohli, according to his obituary, was a graduate of Hollis-Brookline High School and had been selling real estate before he died. He loved playing sports and skateboarding, according to his family. "He had a kind and generous spirit and will be remembered as a hero to his sisters," his obit stated. "Jonathan was also known for his natural ability to handle any task set before him.
